Bathroom Remodel a Success!

We just finished the Newburyport, 2nd floor bathroom! A picture is worth a thousand words. I’m amazed how different the first 2 photos look - same room, different lighting. To minimize reflections off the mirror, the overhead light was turned off for the photo with sink details.”

It will look even better once decorated. Here are hilights and lessons learned from a quick bathroom remodel:

  • Lighting is crucial so install it early to make sure you’re happy with new paint colors.
  • Paint after you’ve installed the key decorating elements like our vanity countertop. Start with one wall to audition the new color(s).
  • Count the number of hardware fixtures you need to change if switching finishes (chrome to bronze). We originally assumed we’d keep the toilet (1) and bathtub (2) hardware. We also had to buy matching handles for the new vanity.
