Every home needs a fire extinguisher

When I talk to home owners and offer advise on how to prioritize home repairs, I always tell them …

Safety is Your #1 Priority at Home

Safety can take a lot of forms, from having handrails to prevent falls or grab bars if someone is having difficulty getting into/out of a bathtub. This year’s theme for Fire Prevention Week (October 4-10), is “Stay Fire Smart, Don’t Get Burned”. I’ve got 2 great resources to share with you:

Gail Klanchesser, Coastal CPR and First Aid LLC has extensive experience as a fire fighter, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and NH State EMS Practical Exam Evaluator. More important for you, she offers and incredible array of courses to help you learn first aid and life saving techniques that anyone might need one day … and I love the idea of Mommy and Me courses, so you can introduce your children to these important skills early.

Gail was kind enough to contribute an article on burn prevention. I chose to add it to my new site (you’ll be getting the details soon) so if you want a checklist on how to prevent burns, click here …
